A planetary gearbox is a mechanical device in which the teeth of a planet mesh with the teeth of its sun or ring. A planetary gearbox can provide a torque up to 113,000 N.m. by rotating its maximum teeth simultaneously. They are the ideal choice for space-constrained applications. A planetary gearbox’s gear ratio is determined by the ratio of the sun gear to the ring gear. The number of teeth on the sun gear is a way to adjust the gear ratio.
