Key parameters to measure the performance of precision planetary reducers

  Several key technical parameters to measure the performance of a precision planetary reducer are: reduction ratio, average life, rated output torque, return clearance, full load efficiency, noise, lateral/radial force and operating temperature.

  1) Reduction ratio: the ratio of output speed to input speed.Series: The sun gear and the planetary gears around it form an independent reduction gear train. For example, there is only one gear train in the reducer, which is called "first stage".In order to obtain a larger reduction ratio, a multi-stage transmission is required, and the reduction ratio of Nieusdart is from 3 to 10000.

  2 Return clearance: Fix the output end and rotate the input end clockwise and counterclockwise to produce ±2% of the rated torque at the output end. There is a slight angular displacement at the input end of the reducer. This angular displacement is the return clearance .The unit is "arc minutes".

  3) Full load efficiency: refers to the transmission efficiency of the precision planetary reducer under the maximum load condition.It is a key index to measure the reducer. The reducer with high efficiency at full load has less heat and good overall performance.

  4) Rated output torque: refers to the allowable output torque when working for a long time under rated load.The maximum output torque is twice this value.

  5) Average life: refers to the continuous working time of the reducer under the rated load and the highest input speed.

  6) Lubrication method: The precision planetary reducer does not need to be lubricated during the entire period of use.
